General Sustainability in the Office
WE STRIVE TO INTEGRATE SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES INTO OUR OPERATIONS EVERYDAY WORKING LIVE.
Designhabit has been experiencing a significant transformation toward sustainability in recent years. With a growing focus on ecological conservation, the industry is under increasing pressure to reduce its environmental footprint.
• We recycle all cardboard, paper, plastic etc that we use in the office.
• We re-use cardboard, boxes, packaging and paper as much as we can.
• For Internal office items we print on both sides of the paper before shredding and recycling
• We use Eco-Packing tape
• We use Eco-friendly double sided
• We use recycled brown packing paper
• We use Chlorine free tissue paper
• We use 100% recycled Avery sticker labels
• We are now printing on 100% Recycled Nautilus stock – smooth and white (with a few specs).
• All other paper we use is from sustainable forests.
• We are using 1.5mm Mountboard instead of Foamex when we can for mounting signing and prints etc.
• The large format items are all printed with one 100% Eco-friendly inks.
• We also cycle, run or walk to work nearly every day so no carbon footprint
• We use Paylight/Palboard: made of more than 50% recycled PVC and is 100% recyclable. Made with a recycled foam core, Palboard is ideal for signage and display applications.
The cornerstone of sustainable printing lies in the use of sustainable materials, eco-friendly products and selecting recycled stocks or paper sourced from responsibly managed forests, certified by organisations such as the forest stewardship council (fsc), which ensures that your print products are contributing to the health of the planet.
